20 tonne single drum roller ASC 200 HT from Ammann with dozer blade
The trend towards using multi-functional machines on constructions sites continues. Why use, for instance, a single drum roller exclusively for compaction jobs? Ammann-Rammax offers compact machines equipped with pad foot drums and dozer blades. Caterpillar Uses “Value-Stream” Manufacturing to Meet 993K Demand
When Caterpillar introduced the 993K wheel loader in March 2008, mine and quarry operators immediately recognized the machine’s capabilities and placed orders exceeding the company’s expectations. But this good news for Caterpillar was soon tempered by the strain placed on the company’s large-wheel-loader assembly line by adding the 993. Then came the economic downturn, an unwelcome development for all manufacturers, but Caterpillar saw the temporary decline in 993 sales as an opportunity to address the manufacturing situation. In only seven months, the company created not just a dedicated assembly line for the 993 at its Aurora, IL, plant, but an entirely new, integrated production system, a “value stream,” that has become the model for all future assembly-line overhauls.

Flexi G4 – The Next Generation in Space Saving Efficiency
The Flexi G4 results in 40% more storage density than a conventional forklift and 25% more storage density than a reach truck. Convert a warehouse of 100,000 square feet into 140,000 or 125,000 feet, with no increase in rent, taxes, insurance or maintenance, by utilizing the Flexi. The Flexi unloads trailers as well as working in very narrow aisles so your ROI is increased by eliminating the forklifts and operators you are using to unload the trailer, and allowing you to rack the staging area for even more pallet positions.
